Why It Matters
Every child deserves the opportunity to survive, learn, and thrive. Yet across many communities in Migori County, poverty continues to:
- Deny children access to quality childcare, early learning, nutrition, and protection.
- Overburden caregivers with the responsibility of raising children despite limited resources and support.
- Limit opportunities for adolescent mothers to continue their education, access sexual and reproductive health rights, and achieve economic independence.
- Leave many adolescents and youth without the Right Skills required for employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong success.
Investing in children, caregivers, adolescent mothers, and young people creates lasting change. Through evidence-based, community-led programs, YHBI transforms vulnerability into opportunity—building resilient families, empowered youth, and thriving communities while delivering measurable, sustainable impact for generations to come.
